JAC Woodwork – Delivery Policies


JAC Woodwork provides two delivery options depending on customer location. Please review the sections below carefully before placing an order.


1. Nationwide Curbside Freight Shipping

Overview

Curbside freight shipping is available to all 48 contiguous United States.

  • Typical ship-out timeframe: Approximately 10–12 weeks after the order is placed.

  • Transit time: 3–7 business days.

  • You will be notified when your order leaves our shop in McAllen, Texas.

  • The freight carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window once the shipment reaches the nearest terminal.

Delivery Windows

Freight carriers may provide delivery windows that span several hours. Deliveries occur during standard business hours only.
Customers must be available to receive their shipment within the timeframe provided. Failure to do so may result in storage fees charged by the freight carrier.

Curbside Service Details

To keep shipping costs affordable, all freight deliveries are curbside only:

  • The driver will deliver your shipment to the curb, driveway, or the nearest accessible area.

  • Customers are responsible for:

    • Bringing furniture inside

    • Unpacking or uncrating the shipment

    • Assembly (if required)

  • Solid wood furniture is heavy; assistance is strongly recommended.

  • For items longer than 10 feet, customers must assist the driver with offloading.

Inspection Requirements

Customers must inspect all items thoroughly prior to signing the delivery slip.

If damage is present:

  1. Document the damage on the delivery slip.

  2. Take photos of both the packaging and the damaged area.

If damage is correctly noted, JAC Woodwork will provide replacement furniture at no additional cost by submitting a claim with the freight carrier.

Once the delivery slip is signed without damage noted, JAC Woodwork cannot be held responsible for issues found later.

Entryway Responsibility

Furniture cannot be refused or returned due to size constraints.
Customers must ensure the purchased item(s) will fit through their entryways, hallways, and staircases.

Location-Based Surcharges

Certain regions may incur additional freight costs. If your address requires a surcharge, you will be notified before your order enters production.


2. Local Delivery (Rio Grande Valley & Surrounding Areas)

Overview

Local delivery is offered through a trusted third-party delivery service.

  • Typical delivery timeframe: Approximately 10–12 weeks from order date.

  • Customers will receive their exact delivery date one week prior.

  • The delivery team will provide a delivery time window the day before arrival.

  • Delivery schedules cannot be modified due to routing logistics.

Included Services

  • Inside placement on the ground floor only.

Not Included

  • Carrying items above ground level

  • Installation of any kind (e.g., mounting shelves, installing swings, securing furniture to walls or ceilings)

  • Rearranging or removing existing household furniture

Customers are responsible for ensuring that purchased items will fit through all entry points.


3. Holding & Storage Policy

Before production begins, JAC Woodwork will contact the customer to confirm:

  1. Order accuracy

  2. Readiness to receive delivery

This is the customer’s opportunity to request a delay.

Once confirmation is received and production begins:

  • JAC Woodwork cannot hold, store, or delay delivery of completed furniture.

  • Storage space is limited, and completed orders must be delivered promptly.
